One day each year brings Yalies around the globe to participate in service projects to better the lives of others in our communities (www.yaledayofservice.org).
Join YAAM members to engage in the world of urban forestry with this Blue Water Baltimore community forestry tree planting and maintenance project. Volunteers will learn about native tree species and urban ecosystems along with the best stewardship practices and unique challenges that face Baltimore’s tree canopy. Activities will include tree planting, pruning, mulching, and general site maintenance. No prior experience is necessary, and all tools and materials will be provided.
