Barry will present a guided tour of historic landmarks in downtown Annapolis, including the Georgian mansions of colonial gentry, McDowell Hall on the campus of St. John’s College, and the crowded lanes near the harbor. In the Maryland State House we will visit the newly restored Old Senate Chamber where George Washington resigned his commission as commander of the Continental Army in November 1783.
