The Whiffenpoofs in Concert


The concert features two singers from Maryland: 

Solon Snider (Musical Director/Tenor II), and Zachary Johnson (Bass).

In addition, it will feature the WORLD PREMIERE of a piece (written specifically for The Whiffenpoofs of 2017) by two Baltimore natives: composer Judah Adashi (a Whiffenpoof alumnus himself and a professor at Peabody Institute whose work focuses on the interplay of art and community engagement/social justice) and actor, narrator, orator, writer and social commentator Keith Snipes.

Boh Re Mi,” Baltimore’s premier co-ed a cappella group, featuring YAAM Membership Chair, Justin Lowenthal (ES ’11), will open the show!


The Whiffenpoofs are the oldest collegiate a cappella group in America and were founded in 1909 at Yale University.  They sing songs in every genre ranging from jazz to rock to pop to soul. For more information check out their website, facebook page, instagram, and/or twitter at:
