Have you ever seen an interesting looking mushroom and thought, “I wonder if I can eat that?”  Maybe you can!  Join us for a walk in the woods with amateur mushroom enthusiast Molissa Farber (GH ’06) as we hunt for fall mushrooms, learn about mushroom identification for absolute beginners, and consider how mushrooms contribute to the forest ecosystem.

OTHER DETAILS: Please wear sturdy hiking pants and shoes with socks. We may be walking through thorny areas and spandex legwear will get ripped up.  On-leash dogs who don’t mind walking with other dogs are welcome to attend.  Anyone who might want to collect mushrooms to eat should bring a bag to carry them in.

WHERE:  Double Rock Park (8211 Glen Rd, Parkville, MD 21234) at the front parking lot.
WHEN:  SATURDAY, October 19th, 10AM.
PARKING:  Front parking lot.
